A sermon given at the International Baptist Church, Bukit Indah by Sam Cheung answering the question: why Christians see Christmas as so special.

Surely the modern celebration of Christmas has been tainted by superficial commercialism, the sentimental smulch that is rolled out every Christmas being designed to get you to buy more stuff? Surely Christmas was the mid-winter solstice festival celebrations stolen by the early church to substitute a celebration for the pagans to focus on? Surely Christians should see the greater festival as that of the death and resurrection of Jesus, their Lord and Savior? Building towards the birth of Jesus and the Heavenly Host bringing good news, Sam takes us on a whistle-stop tour of the bible and the problem of sin and restoring a relationship with God.
