Interim Teaching Pastor

Pastor Jonathan Hancock who currently serves at First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, IL will be bringing the message . Pastor Hancock loves seeing people flourish in the gifts God has given them, using those gifts to serve and engage with others. Prior to joining the First Presbyterian team in 2014, Pastor Hancock has been an Associate Pastor and Executive Director of the LaSalle Senior Center, both at LaSalle Street Church in Chicago and most recently was the Executive Director of Emmaus Ministries, a long-time mission partner of First Presbyterian Church. He and his wife Beverly live in Chicago and have two daughters, Abigail, Elizabeth, son in law Marty and grandson Franklin.

Interim Teaching Pastor Benjamin Crook

Pastor Mark is an ordained ECC pastor and currently serves as the Director of Conference Orientation for the Southeast Conference of the ECC. In his role, Mark provides coaching and consulting for church plants, walking with them from launch to denominational membership. Mark also is completing a MTS at Garrett Seminary in Theology and Ethics. He is married to Valeri and in his free time loves heading to Chinatown for milk tea with his kids and perusing used book shops for amazing finds.

Scripture Galatians 6:1-12

Pastor Megan Herrold Sinchi will be preaching from Isaiah 49:1-6, 13-18. Megan Herrold Sinchi is a newly ordained minister in the Evangelical Covenant Church and has served in churches in Chicago, Northern Indiana, and Dublin, Ireland. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry, with a research focus on interim ministry and churches under leadership transition. Megan graduated from North Park Seminary in 2018 with an MA in Christian Formation; she also has a degree in Intercultural Studies from Dublin City University in Ireland, where she first felt God's call to pastoral ministry. Megan and her husband, Javier, met at River City and married in 2020. They live in the Albany Park neighborhood of Chicago.
