1 Peter 2:11-12 Peter reminds his readers that, as Christians, we are not like the unbelievers around us; in fact, he calls us “aliens and strangers” in this world. Pastor Rod Bunton reminds us that this means we have an obligation and the power to behave differently. The post The Battle is Within You appeared first on Grace Church of Tallahassee.

1 Peter 2:9-10 Peter explains an important concept about who Christians are in the view of God and what that means. 1 Peter 2:4-8 Peter builds on the metaphor established earlier by Jesus, who called the revelation that He is the living God the stone upon which His church would be built. 1 Peter 2:1-3 In Chapter 2, Peter builds on the points made at the end of the previous chapter to deliver an important exhortation. Pastor Rod Bunton explains that first we must shed our “minor” sins so that we can have an insatiable desire for pure spiritual milk. 1 Peter 1:17-21 What does it mean to fear God? Although there are many things to fear in our daily lives, fearing God is different. 1 Peter 1:13-16 After having spent time outlining who we are in Christ and what that means, Peter moves into how we should live since we are in that place. Pastor Rod Bunton looks at two principles in this passage: God is holy and we should fix our hope on his gift of grace.
