We are wired to be relational. And our lives are influenced by the friends who we are the closest to. Solomon talks about the power of faithful friends in week 2 of the Friendship Mixtape series.
Over the next four weeks, we will be in a series called Friendship Mixtape. In this series, our lead pastor, Solomon David, will be splicing together all the wisdom from Psalms, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes to find the perfect friendship mix.
How can God forgive me when I can’t even forgive myself? Guest speaker, Chad Kirtlan, discusses our need for forgiveness in the last sermon of the Asking for a Friend series.
What if I’ve been wounded by the church? So many people have been hurt by “bad Christians”, and the wounds inflicted by Jesus followers tend to cut the deepest. Solomon digs into the reality that the church is made of broken people who are in need of grace and forgiveness just like anyone else.
Is Jesus a Liar, Lunatic, or Lord? Jesus Christ is inarguably the most important person in the human race. Jesus has also become one of the most controversial people in history. In week 6 of the Asking for a Friend series, Solomon looks at why this is the case and challenges us to take seriously Jesus’ claim that he is Lord.
What happens when I die? When it comes to questions about faith and life, they don’t get any bigger than this. Solomon continues the Asking for a Friend series by uncovering what the Bible says about death.
How do we know God exists? The Scriptures intentionally leave room for doubt and don’t give us all the answers because we are called to have faith. Solomon shows us how we can have a confident faith based on what we know about our God.
Why would a good God allow pain and suffering? Does pain and suffering prove the non-existence of God? Nothing shows your theological beliefs more than being thrown in the furnace of life. As Solomon continues the Asking for a Friend series, he dives deeper into these questions by studying the story that God is telling throughout Scripture.
Why do we sing? The Creator made us, His creation, creative. Our worship minister, Michael Eaton, discusses why we sing in the latest sermon from the Asking for a Friend series.
Sometimes we are scared to ask the difficult questions, especially at church. At Bachelor Creek, we believe church should be the place you feel comfortable asking those questions! In the Asking for a Friend series, we will look at the tough questions we are sometimes afraid to ask. In week 1 of the series, Solomon turns to God’s Word to answer the question, “Are Faith and Science Compatible?”
