When God delivered the Israelites from Egypt he instituted a feast through Moses called the Passover. What does this seemingly distant feast have to do with us as Christians today? This lesson is based in Exodus chapter 11-12.

As darkness filled the land of Egypt with the ninth plague, the Israelites had light in their dwellings. Without God's Word in this world, we are all in spiritual darkness. His Word is Light. Even more so, Jesus is The Light. Though it is dark in this world, we can have light in our homes -- with Jesus! This message is based on Exodus Chapter 10.

In Exodus chapter 9, we see more of the plagues. God warned Pharaoh before each plague, but he didn’t pay attention. He didn’t heed the warnings. Pharaoh hardened his heart. Do we harden our hearts and not take God’s word seriously? Are we like Pharaoh?

Have you ever denied the Lord? Cracked under pressure? Maybe it was an opportunity to talk to a neighbor about spiritual things, a friend, a relative. Perhaps it was an action that was taken that didn't look anything like Christ in you. Why do we do this? This message intends to help us avoid denying our Lord by looking to scripture and the examples of the Egyptian Magicians and Pharaoh in Exodus chapter 8.

Pharaoh of Egypt had a hard heart and oppressed the people of Israel. For this God destroyed him through Moses. But was his hard heart his choice? Does God predestine some people for destruction? How does he pick who gets to be saved? We will examine these questions in light of Romans Chapter 9 and Exodus Chapter 7.

Do you give up easily? When life throws a curve ball, when things get difficult, do you struggle to go to the Lord and His word? Allow the short term hardship to blind you from the long term goal? Moses and Israel serve as an example of attitudes that we need to avoid and embrace in the midst of trying times. There is never a good time for a Christian to give up! This lesson is from Exodus chapters 5-6.

400 years and nothing. No prophet, no word from the Lord, no exodus, nothing. What do we do when it seems like God is silent? What do you do? We learn from Exodus 2 that God does hear our cries and does take notice of us. When our faith is tested, what do we do?

This sermon is the first in a series of lessons on the book of Exodus. The Israelites in the book of Exodus waited. They waited for the prophecy to be fulfilled. The prophecy had been 400 years before. They waited. They waited through slavery to get to the Promised Land. This sermon is based on Exodus chapter 1.

What if the good that Paul talks about in Romans 8 benefits other people? What if it benefits the very ones that have caused you pain and suffering? Would you be ok with that?
