God will never ask you to do what he wouldn’t do Himself. We commend our loved ones to Him, knowing that we will receive them back from the dead in resurrection on the Last Day. Fifth Sunday of Lent

Christ Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes way the son of the world by his death and shed blood. We eat his living flesh and drink his living blood to receive the benefits of his sacrifice, as he bid us do in his New Testament.

In todays readings, both Jacob and the Canaanite Woman wrestle with God. It’s only after these trials do we realize that God never meant to hurt you, but only to refine and strengthen your faith. Second Sunday of Lent.

Satan lies in all sorts of ways. He can trick you into thinking that voice is your own thoughts and feelings. He can trick you into thinking your friend is giving you good advice. God’s Word alone guards and defeats the Father of Lies. First Sunday in Lent.
