Jesus calls for us to bear his word, even if it brings the anger of our closest friends and family.

Today we celebrate the Presentation of the Augsburg Confession. Jesus warns us that following Him will bring us mockery, resistance, and harm. But take heart! He who endures to the end will be saved. His Grace is a gift.

Do I need to change myself to be more like how I imagine myself or feel? How is Jesus forming me even now?

We aren’t celebrating the giving of the Law through Moses, but the giving of the Gospel through Christ’s death and resurrection to all people!

Christ ascending in both His divinity and humanity raises our own human nature joined to His in our baptisms.

Jesus is your big brother who wants what’s best for you.
