And so we come to the end of the Book of Exodus. In one sense, everything has been pushing toward this moment in Israel’s short history. This book is all about the God who saves, speaks and now, STAYS! The Tabernacle is built. The people are obeying. Everything is ready for God to come down. But does it go the way they expected?

The mystery of Moses' face shining after his conversation with God is quite perplexing. While we may not be able to fully understand how this took place or what exactly it looked like, we can discern why it happened. The Apostle Paul referenced this event in 2 Corinthians and "shone some light" on its meaning. And what we can be sure of in the end is that all of us will find ourselves becoming more like our Saviour the longer we look at Him.
