What we say is a great reflection of our heart's condition. We'll go straight to the source (heart) to see how to guard it (Prov 4:23) and how a pure heart results in words that build... not destroy (Eph 4:29). Without pure hearts, our words of worship will be disingenuous.

What we see (spiritually) affects the rest of our being. If the object of our focus is Christ, we will be filled with the light of Christ. Jesus warns us of the consequences of improper focus. The only solution: fix our eyes on Christ and we will be filled with light. (There is also a connection between the eyes and the mind that we'll explore, as well as techniques based on Phil 4:8-9 to maintain proper focus).
