What does the Bible say about the importance of loving our neighbors? Here Paul makes it very clear.

The law is not emotional. It doesn't care about our feelings or emotions. It does not need our approval and it does not make us do right or wrong. It simply identifies the boundaries and reflects back to us the things we've done.

We should be competitive about how we love one another.

What is it that saves? How do we know we are saved?

Sometimes we like to read into the Bible what we want it to say. Paul here is showing one way people were doing that. By the way this is a bad approach to reading the Bible!

The pinnacle of the book.

Many don't like the message of this chapter because it doesn't paint the picture of Christian superheroes. Instead we see the reality that many who call themselves Christians are living by standards that are anything BUT of Christ. This is like having an apple tree that doesn't bear apples - kind of pointless!

There is a war going on in the hearts and minds of followers of God. The decision to do the right thing or the wrong thing. We all too often move in the direction of the wrong thing. Why is that?

Paul reminds us of the power of God in us and what Jesus' death and resurrection did for us.
