God made humanity in His image. That means every person we encounter carries the mark of their Creator and is worthy of dignity, honor, and love. Yet sin has clouded our vision. We don’t simply struggle to live according to God’s design—we struggle to recognize that design in other people. We categorize, judge, exclude, and devalue those who don’t look, think, act, or live like we do. But Jesus came to restore our vision. Again and again, He saw what others overlooked: the image of God in people who were rejected, forgotten, and despised. Following Jesus means learning to see people differently. It means allowing Him to reshape our vision so that we can once again see God’s image where He intended us to see it—in every human being. Even if it costs us.
