From July 15, 2018, Ruling Elder Kevin Hekman opens God's word to reflect and exhort from Psalm 51, the prayer of King David in which he repents and turns to the Lord.

Psalm 103 is a beautiful picture of the truths and promises of God that we can savor and meditate on. King David says to not forget (as he speaks to his own soul) all of God's benefits. So, why do we meditate? Well, our hearts aren't trustworthy. And our eyes are often distracted by the thing we think will make us happy. And often times the things we think are going to give us freedom are actually just more bondage. So we meditate on the scriptures in prayer to teach us and remind us and shape in us what is true, that God is faithful and freedom is found in Him.
