Paul prays for the Ephesians to have their eyes opened to the glorious hope, the rich inheritance, and the greatness of God's power in those who believe. An uplifting word that reminds us that our hope isn't in this world but our hope is in Christ.

Our prayer lives should be bold and specific, not vague and unspecified.

God has chosen the Church as His inheritance and sealed us with the Holy Spirit. Consider what that glorious truth means for all Christians in eternity.

We do not create unity in the context of the local church but we are called to make every effort to keep that unity given by God. Paul's appeal is not that we all think exactly the same thoughts and carry the same opinions but that we have one mindset in the essentials of our faith. How can we guard this unity and live it out? By following Christ's glorious example of humility that considers others as more significant than ourselves.
