Despite the opposition of Satan through the form of persecution, as the early church was seeking to fulfill the great commision, we see that the Mission of God is truly unstoppable.

In this passage, Luke describes the changes and committment of the Christians in the early church after believing in Jesus. He then gives us two examples, the good example of Barnabas, and the dangerous hypocrital example of Ananias and Saphira.

We read of a distinct power that is the result of the early church's committment to prayer and to

The miracles at Pentecost weren't over after tongues of fire, Peter’s boldness or the 3,000 people who were baptized and added to the church. Let’s be challenged as we learn how the early church devoted themselves wholeheartedly to God and His Church, as well as invited and welcomed new people into their circles.

With the crowd that has gathered after the miracle of the disciples speaking in tongues, we see an amazing new Peter, filled by the Holy Spirit with passion and boldness to proclaim Jesus as Lord and Christ.

On the day of Pentecost, God sent the Holy Spirit to empower the disciples for their mission of Making Christ Known throughout the world. As a new church, what can we learn from the early church to embolden and empassion us to continue that mission?
