Eight days after his birth, Jesus was circumcised and given his name - a named etched in blood already as an infant, pointing ahead to the shedding of his blood on the cross.

God has come to make us family

On that first Christmas, the angel messenger appeared to shepherds with the good news of great joy that a Savior had been born. Shepherds were considered outcasts and outsiders in their day. These are the people for whom the Savior was born then and now.

As Advent draws to a close, God opens the door and engages us with His love and, through us, our families

John the Baptist looked and sounded like Elijah of old. Who do you look like? GIfted by Jesus with forgiveness, life and salvation in him, our calling is to resemble him in our words and actions as we wait and watch for his coming again.

Grafted into Jesus, you can look ahead in confidence. He is hope for family life, in Advent and always.

Emergency preparedness is something that we all need to be doing - not just for the contingencies of this life, but for that great and final day when Christ our Savior will come again to judge the world in righteousness.
