Paul reminds us that we are children of the light through Jesus. No matter when the Day of the Lord will come, we can be ready in Christ.

It is the grace of God in Jesus Christ that transforms sinners into saints, making us acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God. The Festival of All Saints celebrates the gift of salvation in Jesus which numbers us among that "great multitude which no one could number," when we shall stand before the throne of God and before the Lamb.

As we celebration the Festival of the Reformation, we hear how God puts an end to our fears on the cross of Christ.

Before there can be joy in giving, there must first be joy. Any giving of ourselves, our time, or our possessions must first begin in joy - the joy of salvation in Jesus Christ our Savior that transforms our hearts and minds to be rivers of giving.

We give so that others are enabled to give, sharing the gospel of Jesus through word and action.

Paul's words to believers in Philippians are a beautiful promise: "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). Trusting that our gracious and giving God is able to do this very thing, and because He has given the life of his only Son for us, we are called to trust in His amazing power to provide for all our needs.

There's a striking reason behind your stewardship as a Christian: when you give from what you’ve got with Christ Jesus as your source, you are giving more than just your time, energy, or financial resources. God works through you to give Christ’s gifts others even as you give.

A lake takes in all the water that flows into it, but very little, if anything, flows out of it. A lake is all about getting, but a river is all about giving. The Lord God is the ultimate river of giving because it is God's very nature to give. God's river of giving which began at creation culminated in the giving of his only begotten Son, who freely and willingly gave his life as the atoning sacrifice for us all. This is where our stewardship of giving begins: with God's giving.

God's love does not vary, calling all to know His generosity regardless of our merit.

Forgiveness is central in our relationships, both with God and with others. Peter's question to Jesus is one we still ask today, and it is about setting a limit on how often and how much we forgive. How much is enough? Jesus makes clear that as God has not put limits on how much He forgives us, neither can we put limits on our forgiveness of those who sin against us.
