God calls us to forgive one another as He has forgiven us - freely and without limit. This forgiveness is rooted in Jesus, who is that Son sent into the vineyard and who is killed by the tenants (Luke 20:9-20, the Gospel lesson for the Fifth Sunday in Lent).

Confession is the first step in reconciling with others

Jesus calls blessed those who are poor, hungry, weep, and revlied for his Name.

Jesus tells his disciples that He was sent for this purpose: to go and preach the good news of the coming of God's kingdom to every town and village. We also are sent with a purpose in Jesus' Name: to be his instruments of grace and blessing in our particular mission field in life.

It's dangerous to go alone.

The birth of Jesus, the Son of heaven, is heralded by a star of heaven which guided the first Gentiles, the wise men, to come and worship him.

Even as an infant, Jesus fulfills the law for all

Jesus is the "yes" to all of God's promises, and is the Son of Fulfillment whose way John the Baptist prepared.

God has made you a promise.
