God providentially works to draw very different people to Himself through the same gospel.

This week we stepped out of the current progession in our Acts series to celebrate Ascesnion Day. Within the church calendar, we celebrate Christmas, Good Friday, and Easter. Yet what about Ascension day, the last timeline piece of the Gospel?

A stand alone sermon where we as a church heard from Exodus 25:1-9. We all know that we are to be faithful stewards of our time, talent, and treasures. During our time we talked about why we give and how our giving relfects our love for God.

Since the Holy Spirit is sovereign over His work, we must seek to follow Him as we labor for the Lord.

Concession is right when it does not compromise essential truth and it is done out of love to avoid offending others.

Unity is wrong when it compromises the doctrine of salvation by God’s grace alone through faith in Christ alone.

Easter Sunday we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. In the words of Graeme Goldsworthy, “The resurrection was the Father’s ‘Amen’ to the finished work of Christ.”

On Friday, March 29, we will remembered Good Friday. It was a paradoxical night; an unhappy celebration. It was a day of intense sadness mixed with intense gladness. It was both uncomfortable and convicting as we reflected on the depth of our sin and the amazing love of our God who died for us.

To be resolute is to be determined, pointed, earnest. Jesus was resolute in his purpose to “seek and save the lost,” (Luke 19:10) and when the time came, he “set his face to go to Jerusalem” (Luke 9:51). Firm. Unwavering. Resolute.
