We live in a day and age when people don't like to hear the truth. There are a lot of voices that want to tell us their messages, but it's the truth that matters. There is a God that created everything, including humanity. God came to be with us in the form of Jesus Christ. Good comes to us today as the Spirit.

When do we seek God? When there are only problems? What is our motivation? Jesus accepted all who sought Him, for whatever their motivations. Jesus wants relationship with everyone, whether they seek him for healing, for guidance, for reassurance of faith, or just for that relationship. The Love of God is for all, at no cost and with no preconceptions.

The Lord has a profound reason for the Sabbath. He has a reason for us to rest, for us to regenerate. Set aside time and enjoy the blessings granted to us by God.

What does 23rd Psalm mean for us in everyday life? Do we live it or do we keep it away from us? The followers of Jesus were willing to have Him lead them like a Shepherd.

Doesn't it seem that sin moves in when we are idle? Temptation is a distraction and idleness leads to dissatisfaction. We fall into temptation without planning the fall. What are our thoughts then? Are we constantly justifying our actions? Are the rationalizations worth it? Explore this topic in this week's sermon.

God doesn't expect us to always understand or agree to all of His commandments. We need to remember that God is God and we are not. This may sound extreme to us, but we need to know who God really is. God will not be locked up in a box. There's a danger in trying to put God in a box. Never forget, we don't take care of God, but God takes care of us.

We are invited to Communion with God. We need not wonder if we are good enough or if we are holy enough. Don't worry, you'll be good enough. Don't let insecurity and unforgiveness it stumbling blocks. Being needy is not a form of incompetence. Be open enough to accept gifts of grace and help.

Jesus was like a rabbi, a teacher traveling from village to village, where people would gather to hear him speak. Rabbis would often gather a group to teach. The people gathered there would hear and assimilate the stories in their lives. They relate to the stories being told. Jesus' way of telling the parable is to be effective in leaving an indelible lesson in our hearts.

God gives us friends and friendships. Let our friendships with each other strengthen us, bring us closer and allow us to uphold each other. God wanted us to have friends. God offered us the ultimate friend in Jesus Christ.

We will all face seemingly insurmountable challenges in our lives, our own personal 'Goliaths'. Know that God has already won the battle and through faith, God will lead us through.
