How can we know God's will in our lives? When the stakes are so high, how do we know we are making the right decisions? Are we doing God's plan or are we baptizing or own agenda?

Think of selah as an interlude of sanity. Stop and listen, for a moment of reflection. Resting is an opportunity to push back the world and let God take control.

What are you doing for Pentecost? What is God did that here in The Chestnut Level sanctuary? Remember, God poured out his Spirit on all people. All people.

What do you think of Jesus Christ? What do you think of the Church? These questions were asked of people, with divergent answers. How does the church get such a bad reputation in spite of the glory of Jesus?

What are we to do when we see an injustice? Are we to stop and help or are we to move on? There is only one lens through which we should see the world's problems, and that is the lens of a tear. When the world is at it's worst, that is when the church must be at it's best.

Weekly worship is looked at as an obligation at best. We gather in God's presence offering presence. Worship is a time to abandon ourselves to God. All God asks is for that one hour back. How much do we love God?

People do need each other. We are bound together through the Church in our lives.
