Peter learns that God shows no favouritism and that the Gospel is for all who fear Him and do what is right. This lesson challenges believers to obey the Spirit’s promptings and to embrace the full, inclusive reach of the Good News of Jesus Christ. A reminder that no one is beyond the reach of grace.

In this powerful teaching from Acts 8:26–40, Unstoppable – Part 6 focuses on the divine appointment between Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch. Prompted by the Holy Spirit, Philip demonstrates obedience, compassion, and readiness to share the Gospel. The eunuch, a high-ranking official searching for truth, receives clarity and salvation through Scripture and baptism. This message reminds us that local mission begins with a Christ-centred love, a deep understanding of the Gospel, and a life that imitates Jesus. We are called to be ready for Spirit-led encounters right where we are.

In this part of the Unstoppable series, we explore Acts 6–8, where the early church faces challenges of growth and division. As the number of disciples increased, the apostles appointed seven Spirit-filled leaders—like Stephen and Philip—to handle practical needs, allowing the apostles to focus on prayer and preaching. This wise delegation led to rapid multiplication and spiritual revival.

Even when persecution scattered believers from Jerusalem, the gospel continued to spread with unstoppable momentum. The key theme is clear: God’s Kingdom grows when we choose multiplication over control and faith over fear.

This powerful teaching explores the early church’s radical generosity and the seriousness of holiness in the eyes of God. Acts 4:32–5:11 presents a contrast between the unity and selflessness of believers and the tragic hypocrisy of Ananias and Sapphira. It challenges us to consider how we may drift from authentic faith—often through forgetting the Gospel or lacking deep, committed relationships. Holiness isn’t just a standard—it reflects the very character of God, and this message calls the Church to live with sincerity, awe, and spiritual integrity.

When faced with threats and opposition, Peter and John didn’t fight, ignore, or worry—they prayed. United in spirit, the early believers lifted their voices together, acknowledging God’s sovereignty and asking for two powerful things: boldness to speak God’s word and the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 4:23–31).

This message reminds us that:

Prayer is our go-to response, not our backup plan.

We pray together, in unity and faith.

We ask for boldness, not comfort.

We seek God’s power, not our own solutions.

The early church didn’t shrink back in fear—they became unstoppable through prayer. Let us follow their example and be a praying church that moves in boldness, empowered by the Spirit.

It highlights how the gospel begins with God meeting people where they are, revealing truth, offering new life, and calling for a response. It also emphasizes the early church’s deep sense of community, marked by devotion to teaching, fellowship, shared meals, prayer, generosity, and unity. It underscores that spiritual growth primarily happens within community, where believers are both challenged and encouraged.

The early church Christians were unstoppable because they moved in the power, purpose, and plan of God. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, they boldly became Christ’s witnesses, proclaiming the gospel with courage and conviction. Their power came not from human strength, but from the Spirit who filled them, giving them words to speak and signs that confirmed the truth. Their purpose was clear: to spread the good news of Jesus to all nations, starting from Jerusalem and reaching to the ends of the earth. God’s plan unfolded through their obedience, as the Holy Spirit not only prepared their hearts but also opened the eyes of unbelievers, making way for salvation. The Spirit equipped them with wisdom, boldness, and love, enabling them to face persecution without fear. Their lives became living testimonies of Christ’s resurrection, proving that when believers walk in step with the Spirit, no force can stop the advance of God’s kingdom.
