Peter begins his second letter to the scattered Christians of Asia Minor, by reminding them of their great salvation through Jesus Christ, and that His works of redemption will abound to them in spiritual provisions into eternity.

In light of the abounding graces through which God has redeemed believers, and all of the spiritual resources He provides for the Christian life, Peter commands them to fortify their faith through the application of Christ-like virtues.

Before ending his letter, Peter leaves his readers with some final exhortations an stark reminders concerning the realities of life in a fallen world, why it is fallen, and how to live faithfully through the spiritual war, until the end.

The psalmist composes a psalm which directs the attention of the people of God towards the glory of God, which He has revealed in, and through, every characteristic, circumstance, and promise concerning His city, Jerusalem.

Peter transitions in his exhortations to the elders of the church, by reminding them, as well as the church, of the hierarchy of authority in the church, and the God-honoring attitudes concerning authority, service, and submission.

Peter continues his instructions concerning Christian suffering by exhorting his readers to persevere through fiery trials by understanding God's plans and purposes for suffering in the world, His judgments, and His faithfulness.
