Sermons

The message is taken from Hebrews 9:23-28. Don't you love to see sin in

society silenced? It seems to hardly ever happen (which is why we love to

see it!). Well, at the end of Hebrews 9, we see that Jesus has dealt with

sin in us. Sin has been silenced, put away, defeated...sin got the

smack-down. Enjoy Jesus' work!

In chapter 9, the writer of Hebrews is fine-tuning his focus o Jesus’ death

and the benefits for those who trust in Him.

The message title is, "Jesus Over Everything" from John 10:7-18. Dave Doran Jr. from Resurrection Church in Lincoln Park, MI, will be with us Sunday Morning. He will help us think biblically about ministry to Muskegon Heights.

The message is from Hebrews 9:1-14. How many times have we tried to clear

our conscience by doing good things? In Hebrews 9 we read what we

intuitively know: ritual and religion won't work. The sacrifice of Jesus

Christ alone clears your conscience.

"A Better Priest and a Better Covenant" from Hebrews 8. In Hebrews 8 the author explains to us how Jesus is a better priest than the priests of the old covenant. We also see that God brings His people into a better new covenant relationship through Jesus.

The message is taken from Hebrews 7:19-28. When Jesus became our high

priest, we received the gift of a perfect representative on our behalf.

What makes this Priest so unique is that He offered more than an animal

sacrifice. Jesus offered up Himself for us.

The message is taken from Hebrews 7:1-25. The writer of Hebrews returns to

the theme of Jesus’ priesthood and concludes with this thought in verse 25:

Jesus is Able to Save! We’ll study the Biblical argument laid out in

chapter 7 and then apply this truth to our lives for the upcoming week.

The message is taken from Hebrews 6:9-20. In our last sermon we looked at

spiritual immaturity and studied a helpful warning that would motivate us

to ‘listen up.’ This week the writer of Hebrews gives us a helpful

encouragement that is found in the character of God.

The message is taken from Hebrews 5:11-6:8. Every wise parent cautions

his/her children about dangerous pitfalls in life. The author of Hebrews

does the same for his audience by presenting the pitfall of spiritual

immaturity. As any good parent, he also shares the truth that will avoid

this disaster.

The message is taken from Hebrews 5:1-10. As we return to our study in

Hebrews this week we see a very important role of Jesus. He was

specifically appointed by the Father to represent us and to provide us with

the only source of salvation.
