As Christians, there are many things we find difficult to do. One of those is to pray. Prayer is easily pushed aside because of busy schedules, the results we want don't come, and we simply don't see a need for it. In Ephesians 6:10-18 Paul shows us the weightiness of prayer.

On the surface of Exodus 18 we see a visit from the ol' father-in-law. 

More importantly, there are two essential practices that we need to aim for

as Christians/a church that desires to worship God.

A message from Exodus 15-17, "Water, Bread, and War."  Right after God

gives His people an amazing victory over Pharaoh they lapse in their faith

with grumbling and complaining.  However, God provides everything they (and

we) need.

A message from Exodus 13, "Trust God."  Trust God with your life because He

knows what is best and He is with you even in the middle of your crisis.
