Closer: God has granted us so much, as His children. Scripture tells us in this journey in becoming more and more like Jesus that we must bring alongside what God has granted to us every effort we have to partake in His divine nature. Today we look at the first set of spiritual disciplines that we are to supply to our faith that has been given to us so graciously. The holy Scriptures are the key discipline of spiritual engagement that we must put all diligence to. Today we will look at this discipline.

Closer: Do you want to be closer to Jesus? Do you want to know Him more? Do you want to follow Him more closely? Do you want to be more like Him? When Jesus calls us He calls us to a life of the easy yoke. It is a life of knowing Him more, following Him and being more like Him. We look at the easy yoke today and then next week we begin to look at the spiritual disciplines that are a part of a life lived with Jesus.

A Great Mystery: Jesus, the church and marriage. As we have seen, the one flesh relationship that God desires for a husband and wife is about more than the physical. There is much more involved. But it definitely includes the physical. As we close our series today we will look at sex. Today we will look at sex and how it is connected to God.

Last week we looked at Ephesians 4 and saw what it took to have an enduring marriage, one that perseveres through conflict, BUT a marriage without love makes no sense. Today we will look at love, the glue that joins and unites.

Two different people, male and female, from different backgrounds and homes "joined together" to be "one flesh". This is God's goal for the church as well. Reality is we live in a messy world. Life, the church and marriage is messy. Today we address some practical words from the apostle Paul to help us in this pursuit of oneness.
