Every day we’re bombarded with incentives to do things we’d rather not. We’re made to feel like we’re missing out on the good life, holding out on our loved ones, or walking out on some golden opportunities. Get solar panels! Buy gold! Upgrade your internet service! Usually fear, guilt, and shame drive ad campaigns. And they work! But here’s a question: What motivates you to live the Christian life? Why do you tell the truth when a lie would advance your career? Why avoid clicking on that provocative link when you’re the only one in the room? Why bother going to church, giving, serving, and meeting needs? What motivates you to obey God? In Romans 7, Paul shares an explosive truth that many Christians miss. It’s not small. It’s not inconsequential. It’s not optional. We’re moving through Romans 7 again this week with “Incentive.” I hope you can join us! 10 am at the DHS Auditorium. Look for the GraceLife signs!
