What is the Church? Why is it important that we know what the bible says about this?

When thinking about the church, we need the vision that God gives us in the bible.

When Christ came on the first Christmas, love came down manifesting God's purpose to make Christ a propitiation for our sins.

Advent is about the coming of Christ which means good news of great joy for all people.

Christ came to give lost rebels peace with God.

Jesus said that his people would be clothed with power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them. Are we clothed with this power?

One of the primary changes the Holy Spirit makes in the lives of Christians - he takes weak and timid people and makes them bold.

The gift of tongues is a gift still given today by the Holy Spirit. This gift is precious and should be desired.

Earnestly desire the gifts of the Spirit - especially the gift of prophecy because it especially builds up the church.

The Holy Spirit manifests himself through believers in Jesus Christ to build up the church.
