this week we look at gods design for office of pastor. we also look at gods plan for men and women in the church.

A real struggle for us as Christians today is partial obedience. We obey God as fas as we feel like our obedience will make our lives better or what He is calling us to isn't out of our comfort zone. Yet our habitual or willing rebellion in these areas of God's leading results in our hearts being wrong with God. When our hearts are wrong with God all that we do is unacceptable in the eyes of God. The religious activities that we participate in, that should be pleasing acts of worship and beneficial for our walk with Christ, are polluted because of a habitual sin in our lives. As we wrap up the book of Haggai this week find out what God desires more than anything else and see how Him having this one thing will transform not only your religious activities, but everything you do in life!

What causes disappointment and how do we overcome discouragement?

This week we begin our series in Haggai by looking at the Jews who had returned from Babylon to Jerusalem who had misplaced priorities. This week is packed full of teaching and then good practical application as you try and reorder your priorities through a Biblical perspective.

We all may know someone who claimed to be a Christian. This person may have went to church, sang in the choir, went on mission trips, gave regularly, and helped in the children's ministry but now they don't want anything to do with God and the church. Are they saved? Where they ever saved? Did they lose their salvation? Can I lose my salvation? These questions and many more are tackled in this message. We will even see what God's Word says about other religions who believe in Jesus and whether or not their belief in Jesus secures an eternity in heaven.

This week as we continue our study in 1 John we discover three things that we as God's children possess and cannot lose. In contrast to the things that we possess and cannot lose we see what the world offers but cannot give. We also discover the worn out play of Satan's playbook that he has been using since the beginning to see how we can have victory when he uses it to tempt us with the cravings of the world.

John has been teaching right belief about Jesus, this week John now instructs us on what right belief about Jesus looks like in real life. See what the connection between our obedience to the commands of Christ is with the assurance of our salvation. What commands are we to obey? Do we have to obey them perfectly? What does it mean to love God? What does it mean to love others? Do I have to like everyone? Do I have to love someone I don't like and if so how? These are the questions that the Bible answers this week from 1 John 2:3-11.

If we answer the call to disciple others, whether that be our own biological children or children in the faith, we can rock the world for Christ if we rock the spiritual babes into maturity. What does it look like to disciple someone? How do you disciple someone? How do I disciple by child or teenager? How do I disciple my grandchildren? In this portion of Paul's letter to Timothy we see timeless wisdom on the what and how to disciple others.

This week Pastor Thomas helps us understand why it is important to know why it is important to know what God says about Himself, about us, and about Jesus.

Throughout the letter of 1 John, John gives his readers three ways that they can know whether or not they have eternal life in Jesus. These three ways are Right Belief in the person and work of Jesus, Right Obedience based on Right Belief, and Right Love for other believers. John wastes no time to begin teaching the believers then and us today Right Belief about Jesus.
