People scramble for significance. Like 5-year-olds at their birthday party, our lives reveal a pursuit for significance. Let us consider what God has done to give us a significance that lasts for eternity, one that is bound to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

True faith in Christ works itself out in every area of life, even in the midst of difficulties, because God uses trials to strengthen our faith in Christ. True believers are commanded and empowered to love their brothers and sisters in Christ without partiality, because God first loved us in Him!

True faith in Christ perseveres in the midst of trials and temptations, NOT by looking inwardly to its own resolve, but by understanding its own helplessness and turning its gaze on the inherent faithfulness and goodness of God

True faith in Christ works itself out in every area of life, even in the midst of difficulties, because God uses trials in order to strengthen our faith in Christ. True believers ask God for divine wisdom and a godly perspective in order to remain steadfast in trials until they receive the crown of eternal life!

True faith in Christ works itself out in every area of life, even in midst of trials, persevering in actions, attitudes, speech and relationships, causing believers to not only hear the Word of God, but practice the Word of God, all for their good as a body of believers and God’s eternal glory!

Jesus Christ perfectly delighted Himself in the law of the Lord by being obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. By faith in Him, we are made righteous and empowered to walk in righteousness.

Christians are called and empowered to stand firm in the faith, despite the difficulties of this life, by thinking rightly about who they are in Christ so that they might live rightly, rejoicing in the Lord, content in all circumstances, and grateful for God’s good work in other people’s lives.

Only by faith in Christ can we guard our hearts and our minds to pursue unity and peace in our relationships with brothers and sisters in Christ as well as right thinking that leads to joy and peace, even in the midst of the most dark and difficult of circumstances.

Standing firm in the faith as a unified body of believers rejects a works-based righteousness approach to salvation and follows Paul’s example of humility, passion, and perseverance in pressing on toward the goal of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord all the way to glory!

Standing firm in our most holy faith as a unified body of believers requires that we work out our salvation in Christ with fear and trembling by being poured out for others, knowing that the Lord Jesus was willingly and joyfully and sacrificially poured out for us!
