No matter where we go we can't run away from God--that should be a comfort to us, right? We are blessed to have a God who is omniscient and omnipresent, but as Psalm 139 begins it seems as if the writer is feeling smothered by our ever present/all knowing God.  This Psalm can be confusing--is it a lament or a song of praise?  Tonight we will find out as we dive into Psalm 139.

This week we start our Summer Study of the Psalms in Psalm 1.  The beauty and poetry of this book is often referred to as songs and encompasses the whole of human emotions. Psalm 1 helps us answer the question--What is happiness and where can it be found? It only takes 6 verses for us to learn what it means to truly be a "Blessed Man".

This week we conclude our study of the Book of Acts and the history of the early church with a reminder of the POWER and MISSION we are entrusted with, as Christ's WITNESSES to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8)

It is so easy to fall into the temptation of wanting to be remembered for doing "Big Things" for God.  But how can we do this if we are not faithful in the small things? Tonight we look at Acts Ch 6:8-Ch 8:1

and the story of Stephen. A man who lived to know God, know God's Word, and Serve His People--a man who was faithful in EVERY moment, until death.

Whenever people are together we have a tendency to look at how we are all different, instead of how we are all the same.  If we are not careful, these differences can divide us and separate us from other believers instead of uniting us as the body of Christ.  As the church multiplied in Acts 6 there were rumblings and discontent.  Would the church allow this to divide them, or meet this challenge head on? Tonight we will see how the believers come together and unite to address these issues.

Acts 4:32 - 5:11.  The church was young, it was thriving, numbers are growing, lives are being changed.  Outside forces (religious and civic) weren’t having much luck slowing this movement, so Satan begins to attack from within.  Hypocrisy and praise seeking, it’s a cancer, that grows and spreads from within.  Destructive both in our marriages, families, and in the church ... as we'll see in the story of Ananias and Sapphira.

Acts Chapter 4 tells us to be BOLD in telling about Jesus, but often it is this Good News that we have the toughest time sharing.   What are we so shy about?  This week we learn how to live our lives completely surrendered to Jesus Christ, making it impossible to stop sharing about all HE has done.

Every day, in our ordinary lives, we are presented with opportunities to point people toward Jesus.  This week we look at Acts 3 to better understand how we can use our everyday moments as "Misfits" to live for Jesus and seize these moments.

Our mission can often be wrapped in FEAR. Fear is something we all deal with-God knew this. That’s why we’re not alone. We’ve been given each other, our church family, a band of brothers and sisters in the trenches together. And as we talked about last week, we’ve been promised POWER through the Holy Spirit.

We kick off our series on the Book of Acts with a look at how sharing our stories and the power of the Holy Spirit enables us to become Jesus' witnesses to the end of the earth.
