To weary and down-heartened believers, God's word through Haggai reminded them of God's presence, God's activity, God's provision and God's coming. We should be encouraged and inspired too.

God made a solemn promise to King David that his kingdom would endure and that one of his descendants would reign forever. And despite his sin and the failure of the kings that followed him, those promises came true in Jesus.
