The word 'gospel' simply means 'good news,' and we are going to see why the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is actually the best news we could ever hear. Whether you consider yourself a follower of Jesus or not, you need to hear this news over and over again.

Our friend Donnie Griggs says, “It's true what people say, God doesn't love me more if I daily read the Bible. What's often not said is how much more I love God when I do.” That floored me. It is absolutely true. God doesn’t love me more for reading the Bible, but I sure do love Jesus more when I read the Bible. After 10 years of research and conducting surveys of churches and Christians, Scott McConnell said that Bible Reading was the number one predictor for spiritual growth. Simply put, those who read the Scripture grow as followers of Jesus. If we want to carry out our mission: to glorify God by making disciples who love God, love people, and advance the gospel, we’ve got to be people of the Book.

We exist for the fame of Jesus. Join us for the remainder of 2016 as we spend the year in the Gospel of Mark looking at the life and ministry of Jesus, our High and Humble King who came, "...to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45 ESV)
