- Jonah Part 7: Can't I Just Leave People Alone? - Jonah 2:10-3:4The book of Jonah is much more than the fantastical tale of a man swallowed by a fish who lived to tell the tale. It is the story of God’s relentless pursuit of us in spite of us often running as far away from him as we think we can. Through the book of Jonah God shows His overpowering grace to us in our rebellion and His mercy to the world. Dive in with us to see how we are much like Jonah in our disobedience to God’s words, but Jesus, the better Jonah, obeyed His Father perfectly in our place.54 min

- Partnership in the Gospel - Standing For the Truth in LoveBrian Recker, a pastor at One Harbor Church, spoke to us from 2 Timothy 2:14-26. In this passage Paul encourages us not to put our hope in trivial things but rather to stand firm in the truth, namely the gospel of Jesus. In the wake of certain court decisions about the definition of marriage, the disintegration of a moral majority, or the stampede of secularism we should be confident that the church flourishes in times of being marginalized. Brian charged all of us as believers to do the hard work of taking our own sin seriously and living on mission for Jesus. For, the greatest threat to the church is her own hypocrisy.43 min

SERMONS RSS1 hr 6 min - Partnership in the Gospel - Seek First the KingdomBrian Bryan was ordained as an elder at One Harbor Church in October 2012 after serving as a U.S. Marine. In addition to regular pastoral care, he is responsible for supervising many of their church programs, ensuring that the vision, direction and requirements set by the elders are implemented and carried out. Brian preached from Matthew 6 where Jesus tells us to seek first the kingdom above all else. This may at first tempt us to increase our many reasons for being anxious, but Jesus lovingly assures us that as we carry out his mission, to make disciples of Jesus, he will take of everything else.51 min
