The American Red Cross has many different initiatives and programs to help our communities. One of the lesser known branches of the Red Cross is Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) which is aimed at assisting military members, their families, and veterans. In this episode, we discuss the programs SAF offers and hear the personal experience of a SAF volunteer who works at the burn ICU unit of Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
