American Red Cross Podcast: Central & South Texas

This episode will cover the Red Cross's efforts to connect with the communities they serve during blue skies. This term, "Blue Skies," refers to the periods of time when a region of the Red Cross is not responding to any disasters. My guests today are Jeremy Roberts and Jason Massiatte. Both serve on the San Antonio chapter's board, and regularly volunteer their time to various Red Cross initiatives.

The American Red Cross has many different initiatives and programs to help our communities. One of the lesser known branches of the Red Cross is Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) which is aimed at assisting military members, their families, and veterans. In this episode, we discuss the programs SAF offers and hear the personal experience of a SAF volunteer who works at the burn ICU unit of Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
