Our worship service will be a bit different on this holiday weekend, inviting hands-on participation with local artists and craftspeople. We will bless backpacks for all those returning to school. And for the picnic, everyone is invited to bring a side dish of your choosing and we will bring the fried chicken.

A lot of what we do together is to strengthen our church family, learning to love each other well as Christ has loved us. A lot of what we do together is to reach out in invitation to potential new family members. This Labor Day Weekend is designed to help us reach out to o ur neighbors whom God so loves. Come join us in a fun way to welcome those whom God sends. And if you cannot join us, please pray for the event, for us and for the people God will send among us.

One of the exciting parts about living in Tacoma and being part of a community of faith that appreciates music is the chance that we have to invite local artists to share their talents with us.

The Rusty Cleavers (Forest and Kevin) are a band that support so much of what makes Tacoma such a vibrant city for music and art. Forest has brought his song writing and musicianship to FCC since December of 2015 when he joined our Chancel Choir and Musicians to celebrate Advent with us. We are blessed to have him and Kevin bring their music to our Celebration of the Creativity of God this week.
