January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month and Texas is one of the biggest hubs for human trafficking in the world. Serve Denton's partner, Refuge for Women, is on the front lines of rescuing and rehabilitating women who have been victims of human trafficking.

Between his time in UNT Athletics, the Denton Chamber of Commerce, Salvation Army, and even Serve Denton, he gets to see Denton from a vantage point that most don't.
