The Captain's Couch

Session 15 - "A better upbringing than me."

Listen Later

In this week's episode on my love sectional, I discuss the pervasive impact of childhood trauma.  I focus on the Trauma ACE Study which was able to break down the higher rates of mood disorders or psychological disorders due to higher number of childhood trauma.  For reference this week, I use Buccaneers Pro-Bowl receiver Mike Evans' story of his tumultuous childhood and how he has worked to process it and has built a brighter future for himself, his wife, and their children from the ashes of his upbringing.
