Kickin' it back old school to the first ever recorded worship song! In this episode, we are reminded that worship should not be about us or our own 21st century preferences.  True worship is God-centered.  We can learn a lot from the beautiful lyrics to Moses' song in Exodus 15! 

Christian "influencer" culture can sometimes seem like a bunch of mini kingdoms of self popping up.  There's a lot we can learn from John the Baptist's ministry.  He was far more concerned with the Kingdom of God over his own platform or anything else.  This message is for me as much as for anyone else.  

There is only ONE genuine Truth and ONE genuine Love that leads to life.  As believers who are living in line with the Truth and Love of the gospel, we must continually be on guard against counterfeit versions of truth and love.  1 John is a short but powerhouse letter that sheds light on discerning the real from the fake!

Heart Motive Check! Do we desire the GIFTS of God more than God HIMSELF? Are we more concerned with what God can do for us over the gospel itself?  Acts 8 teaches us a lot about this conflict... let's check it out.
