- Believers waiver between three Spiritual temperatures: on fire for God, cold towards God, and lukewarm.

- A lukewarm Christian is comfortable, complacent and unconscious of their need for Jesus Christ.

- If one is on fire for God it is noticed and felt. Thoughts are fixed on him, every action brings Him glory, there is a real hunger for God, and a strong desire to spread the good news of salvation in Him.

- If one is cold toward God it is noticed and felt. You realize you think more about worldly things than spiritual things. You see your lack of faith in God and in spiritual realities.

- Being lukewarm is a little trickier. I believe a Christian can live in a state of lukewarm and be tragically unaware.

In todays podcast we are joined by Rick Burgess. He cohost the nationally syndicated radio show Rick and Bubba and has spearheaded the spread of man focused discipleship with his Man Church Bible studies. With the Lord and Rick's help we dive into Romans 5.

Main Point: The justification we receive through believe and surrender to Jesus Christ is complete in His death and His resurrection. He has dominion over the new creation and gives us the opportunity to reclaim our place in the garden.

Key Ideas:

1.) Being justified is a source of hope

God allows suffering that draws us closer to Him. Jesus has given us new life, His spirit, and lives to intercede. Everything He has done and continues to do for us allows us to have hope in all circumstances.

2.) The justification in completed

Jesus Christ suffered the punishment for our sin and raised on the third day proving He now has dominion over death, hell, and the grave. He took on our sin and covered us with His blood, allowing us to be in an intimate familial relationship with God.

3) Justification was part of God providential plan

The sin and death we experience was passed down because of one mans sin (Adam) and one mans sacrifice and obedience Has brought justification and life (Jesus Christ).

Main Point: The God we believe in is a just God, but He loves you and would rather show you mercy than judgement. He must be proved to wrath.

God is so loving that the prayer of another can convince Him to show mercy to others.
