In this episode, we speak on what a bubble is- getting caught up in a certain group whether it’s people around you, people that look like you, or people that think like you and not valuing people outside of your bubble. We talk about how this can cause you to become close minded when it’s so important to embrace diversity because God made us all individual and unique. Bubbles can be geographic areas, ethnicity/race, political, or ideological, and we also spoke on how believers in Jesus can become caught up in a bubble of only associating with other believers and how this hinders us carrying out the Great Commission and bringing true transformation in our communities from a revival of people coming to know Jesus! Also, as believers, we have to resist being in any bubbles because our identities must only be found in Jesus! Ultimately we truly believe we are to be open minded and accepting of other but also always viewing life from a Biblical lens grounded in the Word of God! In episode 15, we have a conversation about perseverance. The dictionary defines perseverance as steady persistence in a course of action, purpose, or state, not giving up despite difficulties, obstacles, discouragement or delayed results. In life, one of the greatest qualities we can have is perseverance because like the old saying goes, “nobody likes a quitter!” We talk about the importance of perseverance in life’s endeavors but most importantly we talk about perseverance in our walk with Jesus. Let’s face it, this faith walk is no cake walk and there are many times we want to throw in the towel but thankfully, the Lord has a way of keeping us! We talk about the perseverance of the saints, how the Holy Spirit seals us when we become born-again believers, and how we ultimately have a part to play in perseverance by making our mind up and making a committed decision that we won’t give up no matter what happens!
