Episode 38 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast begins with an epic Metallica classic, One, which was sent in by our great friend, Tara La Follette. At song seven today, we have one of my favorite songs of all-time, the Living Colour gem, Cult of Personality, also a favorite of Allen Tate of the Ages of Rock Podcast. Between these two tracks, we fill in the holes, linking everything with help from Robert John "Mutt" Lange, Anthrax, and Tommy Thayer. This is a great show…check it out!!!
We begin Season Four of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast with a pick from our friend, Scott Crouch, who sent in song one for today, Dogman by King's X. We eventually make our way to song seven, which was sent in by Hans Rees, guitarist and singer for Frank Muffin…his pick was the Led Zeppelin classic, Nobody's Fault But Mine. In between these two gems we'll hear picks from Ratt, Queen, and the Rolling Stones. Season Four starts right here with Episode 37…join us!!!
Episode 36 is our Season Three finale and we go out with a bang!! Our friend, Jack Adkins, sent in our first song, the 1981 Motley Crue classic, Too Fast For Love. I've been from coast-to-coast with Jason La Follette and seen some crazy things, but seeing J.D. Wilkes at Jason's wedding in early 2020 was one of the best things ever. J.D.'s band, Th' Legendary Shack Shakers, close the show and Season Three with South Electric Eyes for Mr. La Follette and I couldn't be happier. Connecting all of this madness, we get some help from Free and KISS, plus a few more surprises. THANK YOU for listening and supporting and sharing our show!! We TRULY appreciate the love!!! See you in Season FOUR....coming in early 2021!!!!
Episode 35 already looks funny on paper...we start with an early 90's Rush classic, Roll The Bones, for our soon-to-be Florida transplant and constant supporter of the show, Chad Weil. We'll wrap it all up and Make Love Out of Nothing At All with Air Supply to close the show for our great friend, Amanda Burke. Between the two you'll hear stuff from Meat Loaf, Brand X, and the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar. One of the more challenging shows to complete...hope you love it!!!!
There are 7.5 x 1018 grains of sand on Earth and we begin Episode 33 with one of the best...Sand by Phish, for our great friend, Melanie Ramsey. Our vinyl-collecting, music-loving, Hoosier buddy Chuck Englert directs us to our final cut today, Me And My Arrow by Harry Nilsson. How do we get from Phish to Nilsson? With a little help from Aerosmith, Elton John, and Prince...a fantastic show for all!! Enjoy!
Episode 33 is what this show is all about...music that isn't overplayed!! Our good friend Will Walker sent in a song by Mountain and it ISN'T Mississippi Queen!! That's where we start. Conversely, we'll end up with maybe THE MOST POPULAR James Brown song of all-time for one of the best musicians I know, Jason Gick. Along the way, the chain has links from Tom Waits, Frank Zappa, and Prince. Lots of stuff that may be new to you on this one, but it all ties together. Check it out!!!

In Episode 32, Jason Herndon of the KISS My Wax - A KISS Vinyl Collecting Group & Podcast has a favorite KISS song. You'll never guess it, but we'll start the show with it. We'll eventually connect it to a Willie Nelson classic, a pick my mother made, and she hates country music!! How do we connect them? We'll use Steve Lukather, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Richie and a whole bunch more!! This one was fun. Hope you enjoy it!!!!
In Episode 31 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast, we take a trip down Electric Avenue to open the show with Eddy Grant for our good friend, Bill Novack. After visits with Peter Frampton, Sting, and Phish, we'll finally make our way to the Tower of Power gem, You're Still a Young Man for another great friend, Patrick Mulvaney. Who else helps make the chain today? Listen and find out!!
In Episode 30 of the Seven Notes of Separation Podcast, we start the show with Hero by Ozzy Osbourne for our friend, Jason Herndon over at the KISS My Wax - A KISS Vinyl Collecting Group & Podcast. We'll check in with The Bangles, Black Veil Brides, and Ringo Starr, all of whom help us connect Ozzy to our last song, and maybe the most popular song in 7/8 time...Money by Pink Floyd, sent in by Jasen Wilson of Bullet To Blame. Who else is part of the linkage? Check out the show and find out!!!
In episode twenty-nine we dig deeper into Def Leppard's Hysteria album with the hidden gem Gods of War starting off the show, submitted by Julian Gill. Follow along as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Alice Cooper, and Aerosmith create a few of the links making the chain in today's show eventually connecting us to Frank Zappa's Keep It Greasey, submitted by Blake Watts. Can you figure out who else is a part of the linkage?
