Christianity is growing in these non-Western places at seven to 10 times the rate of the population in many cases, and they are coming to the Western cities. The biggest churches by far in London right now are African churches.

If Jesus was just telling you information, then you can leave it. If he reveals his love to you, then a personal exchange is necessary. The meal really brings this out. The bread and the wine embody His love. He offers it to you. The real question is, “Will you receive it?” Will you consume His love?

If you want true confidence, and assurance. If you want true peace with God, then you need the cross of Golgotha as your altar, Jesus as your sacrifice and heavenly Jerusalem as your city.

Our culture needs to reassess. Hold the ideas of this culture to the same level of scrutiny as you hold Christianity and you will find this verdict. We are ignorant. Now, what should we do about it?

Does Jesus really help you in your time of need? We have our doubts, but have you considered the reasons in Hebrews 4:14-16? Jesus, although in heaven, has a heart for you on earth. Soak it in!

Sin is dangerous. Why?

Sometimes cautious people are viewed as silly. Is there a place for caution? What about as Christians? Perhaps you have been naive about a very real danger to the Church.

The Church has been confused by the warnings in Hebrews. Yet, if we focus on the goal of gospel threats than renewed drive replaces crippling confusion.

Augustine said that our hearts are restless until they find their rest in God. In this sermon, we see that God gives a special day of rest as a reminder that our rest is in Jesus.

Christ knows that the Christian life is a trial. He gives us the motivation to keep making progress. His omniscience stirs us up to diligence.
