  • Are You a Master Manipulator?

What if manipulation doesn't always look like manipulation?

In this 20-minute conversation, I explore the subtle ways the need for validation is masterfully executed through manipulation. Even if you have to lie, deny and exaggerate your unconscious goal is to get the validation you never got from your father or mother. A hole that can never be filled but instead creates more disconnect in your relationships. When an unfilled child runs your life it will never choose an adult behavior of accountability. Without awareness, and accountability there is never a depth of romance or connection with those nearest and dearest to you.

    It's worth asking the questions:

Do you seek validation instead of taking responsibility?

Do you deflect when someone asks you to be accountable?

Do you use vulnerability, withdrawal, affection, or romance to influence an outcome?

These are uncomfortable questions, but they’re worth asking.

The point isn’t to label yourself—or someone else—a manipulator. The point is to become conscious of the habits that may be creating harm in your relationships.

Because recognizing a pattern gives you a choice: keep repeating it, or change it.

If something in this conversation makes you uncomfortable, perhaps that’s exactly where there’s something worth looking at.

Are you willing to see yourself clearly enough to change?

  • The Man Card: What Happens When a Man Never Grows Up Emotionally?

What happens when a man has been taught that vulnerability threatens his masculinity?

In this episode, we look beneath the “man code” and the invisible rules of the “man card”—the expectations that teach men to stay tough, stay composed, never admit weakness, and protect themselves from emotional exposure at almost any cost.

But there is an important distinction between emotional immaturity and a learned pattern of self-protection that repeatedly places the emotional cost onto someone else.

What happens when vulnerability enters the room? Does he deflect? Shut down? Get angry? Cry—but make his tears someone else’s responsibility? Turn the conversation around? Withdraw? Or can he stay present long enough to hear what his behavior has actually done to another human being?

This isn't about shaming men for having defenses. It's about asking whether those defenses are still running the relationship.

Because when a man's heart is unavailable, intimacy becomes limited—not only for him, but for everyone who loves him.

And perhaps one of the greatest costs of the man code is something we rarely talk about: what happens to women when the person they most want to be emotionally intimate with has never been taught how to safely inhabit his own heart?

And, what if he's too busy collecting information about what it means to be emotionally mature but never practices transformation? Emotional development requires practice. That means new behaviors.

This episode is an invitation to reflect—not on whether you're a “good man,” but on whether you've grown enough to carry your vulnerability without making someone else carry the consequences of your inability to do so.

“Can you remain present when your emotions are no longer protecting you from accountability?”

  • Can You Stay Present While a Woman Cries?

This is an unedited encounter with grief.

Before you listen to this episode, I want to ask something of you.

Please do not try to fix me.

Do not rush to make my grief smaller, explain it, or turn away from the discomfort of hearing a woman cry.

Simply notice what happens inside your body.

Do you tighten your chest? Hold your breathe? Become restless? Feel the urge to rescue me?

Do my tears awaken tears of your own–or reveal how far away from them you have learned to live?

What you are about to hear is not a performance. It is grief moving through a human body.

Most men have been taught how to solve a problem, manage a crisis, and continue performing while their own hearts are breaking. Very few have been taught how to remain present with a feeling they cannot control.

This is part of the work I now offer men: learning to breathe, move, feel, and stay present when something real enters the room through movement, conversation and embodiment .

Today, I am not going to teach vulnerability from a distance.

I am going to let you hear it.

    Warmly,

    The Commandress

  • Five Questions Every Man Should Ask Himself Before It's Too Late

Most men spend years learning how to build a career, provide for others, and solve problems–but very few are ever taught how to know the truth of their own heart. Which leads them to dismissing and deflecting the hearts of others.

In this episode of Sex, Lies and Love, I share five deceptively simple questions that can expose what's really driving your decisions, your relationships, and your emotional life.

These aren't questions designed to judge you. They're invitations to discover whether you're living from fear or freedom...obligation or love... performance or presence.

If you've been feeling emotionally unsettled, disconnected, or quietly exhausted, these questions may reveal why.

Sometimes one honest question can change the direction of a man's life.

Perhaps one of these will be yours.

    Warmly,

    Commandress

  • "The Conversation Men Aren't Supposed to Have"

    This episode is different.

I don’t bring men on to perform.

I bring them on when something real has shifted.

In this 20-minute conversation, a man speaks openly about what changed when he stepped into my world—and what most men never admit they’re craving.

We talk about control, emotional armor, truth, and what it actually feels like to be met beyond performance.

No scripts. No coaching language. Just honesty.

If you’ve ever felt the pressure to hold it all together…

If you’ve built a life that looks right but doesn’t feel right…

This conversation will land somewhere deeper than your mind.

This is what happens at The Edge.

A space where men stop performing… and start experiencing themselves in a way they can’t access alone.

If you feel something while listening, that’s your signal.

  • Love and Water: A Valentine's Transmission from the Tub

On Valentine’s Eve, I slip into the bathtub and talk about what I love — the simple pleasures, the flavors of life, the laughter that lives in me. You’ll hear the trickle of water, the giggles, the sensuality in my voice — and then we go deeper.

This episode moves from love in its softest forms to love in its most tested — divorce, rebuilding, and the quiet power of men gathering weekly in my home. I introduce Brothers Basin, a transitional home for men navigating separation with dignity, depth, and brotherhood.

    It’s intimate. It’s playful. It’s wet. Real.

    And it’s an invitation.

  • “Closing the Door on Counterfeit Comfort: A Woman’s Wake-Up Call to the Half-Alive Masculine”

After a year of displacement, five homes, and the fires of Malibu at my back, I woke up in my childhood home with a clear knowing: I have reached the end of investing in the counterfeit masculine. This episode is a personal reckoning—raw, honest, and unfiltered. I share what it feels like to walk through the museum of inherited survival, and how I am closing the door on men who perform presence without embodying it. If you are a man hearing this, know this is not condemnation—it is a clear signal. The feminine is no longer feeding what refuses to grow.

  • "Facing the Father: Healing the Wounds You Carry"

Feeling the god-awful ache of your father’s voice still echoing in your mind — the judgment, the sarcasm, the hidden rage under the laughter? You’re not alone. In this episode, I speak to the men who learned early not to feel, because their fathers couldn’t. Through the psychological precision of my empathy, I reveal how those patterns still shape your relationships and how to finally move beyond them. This is the work I do — guiding conscious men back to their own hearts, where love, safety, and leadership are reborn.
