In the midst of my pregnancy and barely 4 months in, I realized the love I thought I had with Kris truly was an infatuation that was fated for me to have Casey.
And the moment I realized I needed to leave Kris, was the same moment I also found my greatest love that never was.

A quick note on what's coming.
Kendalyn received her bachelor of Arts in Photography in 2019 from Grand Valley State University. Her journey into photography started her freshman year of high school and continued to flourish into the career she has today. She is currently based in Michigan and creates commercial, editorial, and personal photographic art in Detroit, Ann Arbor, and all over Michigan. Her current focus is capturing events and community in Cannabis and Psychedelic spaces.
For Kendalyn, art and creativity have always played a huge role in her life. Her love for people, life, community, and relationships with them allows her to capture the essence of people, places, and things. Our relationships with ourselves, our loved ones, our peers, our products, and the people we meet along the journey that is life is what shapes our perspective of reality. By tuning into the subtle nuances and complexities of our relationship with the world, Kendalyn is able to create photographs that highlight and showcase different perspectives and tells a story. Photography allows Kendalyn to meet and interact with people that teach her about life and challenge her to grow as a Photographer, Creative, and Human.

Jess Jackson, M.B.A. M. Ed., is an author, serial entrepreneur and the quintessential big sis. Her work centers the visibility and inclusion of marginalized bodies and experiences, as well as advocacy for individuals disproportionately impacted by systemic exclusion and oppression.
Since opening the doors of Copper House Detroit, which is Detroit’s first cannabis-positive bud and breakfast founded by Jess and her wife Cara, 1000+ individuals and brands have fortified their home as a pillar and springboard within the Detroit and Michigan cannabis community.
As a legacy Detroiter, she ensures equity through a spectrum of roles and milestones: Director of External Affairs and Social Equity at Common Citizen, Secretary for the Board of Directors for Redemption Foundation, Marketing Director for Great Lakes Expungement Network, former Director of Operations with National Expungement Works.
Jess also serves as the Racial Equity Strategist at TorranceLearning and has over 15 years of experience as a Diversity Peer-educator. She is the author of TorranceLearning’s curriculum Cultivating Racial Equity in the Workplace (CREW) a holistic microlearning training program that addresses barriers to equity in the workplace using evidence-informed practices.
Her work has been featured on platforms such as Mic, Thrillest, Sensi, TedX, Michigan Advance, Detour Detroit, Learning Solutions Magazine, ACPA, among others.
Jess is a graduate of the University of Michigan concentrating in Sociology with a sub concentration in Economy, Business and Society. Jacqara Jackson is a cultivator and operations manager with Sozo Companies, a vertically-integrated cannabis company. Before transitioning her work to cannabis, Jacqara worked for the United States Forest Service and Detroit Parks and Recreation facilitating outdoor recreational education. Her degree from the University of Delaware is in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation she has a passion for all things nature and sustainability a perspective she incorporates into her role as property manager of Copper House Detroit.
