Sex Out Loud with Tristan Taormino

We welcome international porn superstar and writer Stoya to Sex Out Loud radio. Tristan interviews Stoya about her journey into the world of porn, writing for VICE, New York Times & Esquire, and her latest collaboration with Kayden Kross, the new site TRENCHCOATx.com, which focuses on high quality product, fair prices for the consumer, and fair pay for the people who work for them. Don’t miss this enchanting and provocative hour with the person the Village Voice called “America’s sweetheart of smut” and learn why Stoya believes there’s “a fun way to be called a dirty whore”.

This Friday, we're back with season three! I’m thrilled to kick off the next phase with my guest Lorraine Hewitt aka CoCo La Creme: sex educator, advice columnist, performer, and Creative Director of the Feminist Porn Awards. We’ll discuss the history of the event, share stories from the first years, and get a preview of what to expect in Toronto for the 2015 FPAs. Hewitt will talk about the changing landscape of porn, including the effects of having more people of colour, trans folks, queers and lesbians directing films featuring their communities without being fetishized and with respect.

On our last live episode with Voice America, Tristan welcomes Dr. Winston Wilde, sexologist and therapist to discuss his experiences with sexual fetishes. They will discuss why they scare people, how to safely act on them, and what place they have in the diverse spectrum of human sexuality. Dr. Wilde will also discuss the Desert Center for Sexuality whose public services promote sexual health and happiness, provide sex education to diverse audiences, create and sustain community, and expand the awareness of sexual culture through art.

This week we're live with Megan Andelloux, one of America's most sought-after speakers on the topic of sexuality and founder/executive directors of The Center for Sexual Pleasure and Health (The CSPH). Tristan and Megan will discuss The CSPH's work with medical providers as well as the professional development opportunities they offer to folks looking to get into the sexuality field. Megan will also talk about her book Hot and Fast: Sexy, Spontaneous Quickies for Passionate Orgasms, as well as answer listener questions live on the air!

Author, activist, and veteran Kristin Beck joins the show to discuss her work as a US Navy Seal, transitioning after her military, and coming out as transgender to a worldwide audience with Anderson Cooper on CNN. We'll discuss her documentary "Lady Valor" which has found success at film festivals across the country and her commitment to achieving true liberty throughout the Department of Defense.
