In pop culture, people tend to look at celebrity couples as "goals". Add the element of courtship, dating, and marriage done God's way and we tend to think "oh now that is definitely an invincible combination!" And it can be! But what happens when that couple that you viewed as "goals" decides to go their separate ways? Here's my quick take on the dissolution of Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin's union.

On the "What To Expect When You're Looking For a Breakthrough" episode I talked a little bit about my current season of transition. In God's true divine fashion, he used Chiquita Johnson as a vessel to share that she had been in the same situation! In this episode, she shares how her faith in God gave her the strength to leave her dream job and become self-employed by working in her purpose.

In this episode we are joined by my friend Ricardo Cooper and he shares his experience of being a gay man in the church; Rico touches on some of the reasons he personally has steered away from church as a physical place and focuses more on his relationship with God. As a father to twin girls, he talks about the journey to fatherhood through surrogacy, and what he and his husband are teaching their daughters about church and God.

Leunika Griffin's story is an example of God's grace, redemption, and love. Furthermore, it is the story of a woman who has not let her experiences harden her heart. Leunika takes us through the journey of being raised by a mother who was eventually diagnosed as bipolar, failed relationships, and rediscovering herself as a woman beyond wife and mother. Leunika's story to her purpose-filled love contains many twists and turns, but the road led her to not only the love of her life, comedian Griff, but to a newfound love of herself!
