The Pioneers rolled to a 68-47 non-conference win over the Bombers, paced by a career-high 18 points from Sophomore Alyssa Sadlovsky.  Kiara Olesch got things going early, scoring all 18 of her points in the 1st half and Ashley Kimman notched 12 points as Pierz won for the 8th time in 11 games.

The Pioneers give an outstanding effort against the 9th ranked Huskies but fall short by a 62-56 final score.  Noah Oberfeld led Pierz with 17 while both Ben Virnig and Zach Jones scored 13 points.

The Pioneers improve to 3-0 in Granite Ridge Conference play with a 59-40 win over the Crusaders.  Ashley Kimman led the scoring with 14 while Lyndsey Strohmeier added 11 and Kiara Olesch had 10 as Pierz snapped a 3-game losing streak.

It was a tale of two half's as the Pioneers built a 37-26 lead over the Mustangs after the 1st 18 minutes, but Mora turned it around in the 2nd half to post a 65-58 win in the Granite Ridge Conference opener.

The Pioneers lose a 61-59 Double Overtime thriller to the Hilltoppers in the Granite City Classic at St. Ben's as the Pioneers convert 2 turnovers into layups in the final :14 to tie the game at 59-59, only to see Duluth Marshall win it at the buzzer.

The Pioneers lose 64-34 to the Fire in Sartell at the Granite City Classic.  Lyndsey Strohmeier and Katie Leidenfrost scored 7 points each for Pierz as they fall to 6-1 this season.

The final episode of the season brings you the classic poem by Clement Clarke Moore "A Visit from St. Nicholas".  Then we end the program with a story from the Holy Bible as the Gospel of Luke shares with us the story of the birth of the baby Jesus.  Thank you all for listening and may you have a Blessed Christmas!

In this episode, we listen to "The Pokey Little Puppy's First Christmas" and "I'm a Reindeer" for the children,  The final story of the night comes from Hans Christian Anderson and it reminds us to truly appreciate the magic and beauty of the moment at hand rather than be so concerned with the past or future.  The fairy tale is "The Fir Tree".
