The Pioneers defeated the Vikings 45-21 on Thursday. Carter Young, Derek Stangl, Trevor Radunz and Carter Geise on by Fall to lead Pierz.

The Pioneers were down by 2 at halftime, 26-24, to the Flyers before turning it around in the 2nd half and outscoring Little Falls 30-13 to win 54-39.  Michael Leidenfrost scored all 12 of his points in the 2nd half and Jonah Prokott added 10 point to move within 17 of the 1,000 career point mark.  

The Pioneers defeated the Crusaders 58-48 in the 2021 season opener for both teams.  Michael Leidenfrost led Pierz with 17, Jonah Prokott had 14 and Ryan Stuckmayer scored 9.

The Pioneers opened their 2021 season with a 54-47 win over the Dutchmen in Melrose as Emily Dehler scored 18 points and pulled down 8 boards while Alissa Girtz added 10 points to aid the Pierz victory.
