Welcome back to the Morning Muse in this thought-provoking episode of season 1 we had the opportunity to speak to Zimbabwean based altruistic philanthropist and businessman Mr Darren Goneke.
Mr Goneke happens to also be the 8th president of Rotary(@BrookeRotaract), “A river cuts through a rock not because of its power, but it’s perseverance” this is testament in Mr Goneke’s life as he went from being International Service Director then Vice President for before climbing up the ranks to being president in his 3rd year in the organisation.
Mr Goneke’s experience ranges from events management to being a media executive along with a degree in tourism management. “Your greatness is not what you have, it’s what you give” his goal is to improve the wellbeing of humankind by preventing and solving social problems. He felt that he needed to continue his Grandfathers legacy who he spoke of as being the “Obama” of rotary as he was the first black president of the oldest rotary club in the country.
